Missionary Training Center Week

So the plan was for Dad and Mom to write updates about their MTC week however it turned out to be longer days than they planned and then they got their Internet cut off earlier than expected at their home.

Here's a few updates I remember from phone calls with them about the MTC. They had a wonderful time and saw many old friends. Mom especially had a great time. "I learned so much about sharing the gospel that I wish I could have taken these classes years ago," said Sister Jackson. They loved every minute in the MTC and were strengthened by the spirit to help them handle the extra long hours.

Grandpa and Grandma wrapped up the MTC week with a visit from all the Gold Sisters on Saturday evening. Grandma loved seeing her sisters whom she loves very much!

Mongolia

Mongolia is a landlocked country in East Central Asia. It borders Russia to the north and China to the south. Ulan Bator, the capital and largest city, is home to about 38% of the population in Mongolia. At 1,564,116 square kilometres, Mongolia is the nineteenth largest, and the most sparsely populated independent country in the world with a population of around 2.9 million people. Approximately thirty percent of the country's 2.9 million nomadic or semi-nomadic. The predominant religion in Mongolia is Tibetan Buddhism, and the majority of the state's citizens are of the Mongol ethnicity, though Kazakhs, Tuvans, and other minorities also live in the country, especially in the west.
